GOALS: · To help students feel confident to develop healthy habits to ensure their future wellness. · Understand that daily physical activity will help to ensure that students will live not only a long life, but a quality life as well. · Promote physical activity as a primary component in developing a lifelong habit of healthy choices and physical activity. · Understand concepts and acquire competent movement skills to engage in health enhancing physical activity. · Achieve and maintain a health enhancing level of physical fitness based upon continual assessment. · Develop team-building skills by working with others through physical activity. · Provide an understanding of the rules and strategies so each student can participate in the activities successfully.
